simple twist of fate

listening to some bobby d. it is a beautiful day out there, with the promise of a warm and wonderful weekend. i was just outside, sitting on the doorstep, drinking a cup of coffee and waiting for sam to come home.

jake, sam and i walked downtown today. it was awesome. sam was on his scooter, jake was on foot, sometimes holding my hand (!!) we stopped for some milkshakes half way there.

walking is where it is at. i am never going back to driving everywhere. i feel good walking, and i am doing my thing for the one tonne challenge and i am saving cash. what could be better?

after we dropped sam off at ian's house, jake and i strolled over to preston street to look at a house. i want to live there this fall. yes, sign me up. three blocks from the school. HUGE. four bedrooms, an attic and a basement, a backyard. what could be better? now we just have to sell this house. an agent is coming on tuesday. fingers crossed, all!

when we finished ogling the house (sorry, current occupants) we went to woozles, where jake happily spent his battle of the books gift certificate on a lemony snicket book. some lady interviewed jake about the half blood prince. jake was cool and confident, grinning into the tv camera. i don't remember being that brave when i was a kid.

before we headed home, we dropped off some library books and ate bud the spud on the wall. good day.

now sam is here, and we are about to go to the park.

this weekend will either be really great or really stupid. tonight, i may go to a bbq or i may have a shindig chez moi. tomorrow, my girl is having a party. sunday, my folks are having a party. at some point, we'll go to see charlie and the chocolate factory. jake has diving tomorrow morning.

at best, i hope that i get to the beach. at worst, i'll do mucho work in the house - mow lawn, paint stairs, plus mop and scrub and polish.

can't predict the future... instead of going to a BBQ or having a shindig chez toi, we got drunk on beer and cruised the ASS.

Thanks for comin' to my party, girlfren.

I agree, walking rocks and so does the beach.

xoxox so do you!
