it don't matter

listening to matty mays. not doing much. i'm about to go back to bed, actually! we met with a real estate agent. the house is going on the market on tuesday for $159,900. i hope it all goes smoothly, but i am not counting on it.

we cleaned out the basement and the shed this weekend past. our neighbours looked on in fascination mixed with disgust. we had to bring two truckloads of stuff to the dump. ugh, why didn't we do this before!? now the house looks pretty great, i must say. thank you dad for loaning the truck, and happy birthday! i hope you consider a full tank of gas to be a good present...

the boys are at mum and dad's until saturday. today they're going to ross farm. sigh. i miss them. i hope saturday is nice so that we can go to the beach. i don't have much to do while the boys are gone, really, except that i have a lot of reading to catch up on and dil and i went dvd mad at the library yesterday.

i'm reading two books right now. michael cunningham's specimen days (so far - wow.) and that weird 'real age' guy's book called you: the owner's manuel (not well written, but informative and encouraging.)

we watched 'open water' last night. it is so scary; i actually screamed out loud several times. based on a true story. so good. the 'making of' part of the dvd was really good too - lots of indie movie facts. this was a really really low budget movie. the director couldn't quit his day job, so the movie was filmed over two and a half years of weekends and vacation time. here are some pictures i found:

this is the director, in the water filming. he is wearing chainmail on his arms and legs. he had some previous diving experience.
redball

these are the actual actors who played the main characters, not stunt people. they had no previous shark experience prior to the movie. shit, man.

okay, now, back to bed.
