listening to kathleen edwards, from a mix i made for a friend. it's sunny out, and i think i'll go for a walk to the grocery store a little bit later.

sam is feeling lots better. his scary untouchable fever is gone, and he hasn't barfed in twenty four hours. he's had some oatmeal and some soft boiled eggs and some ice cream and some juice. there's still pus on the back of his throat and it hurts for him to swallow, but i think he's on the mend. he's playing with his train tracks right now, but he's been complaining about being bored - a sure sign of returning health.

jake woke up with a weird rash on his arm this morning. no dr's appointment available 'til friday. i hope it's gone by then., but it could be a symptom of strep infection, according to familydoctor.org.

oh, and there's a for sale sign in front of the house. my agent's assistant was just here, taking pictures. someone's coming to look at the house tomorrow. we have a lease for the new place. all very big and surreal.
